What a lovely little book! Sarah Crewe is an exceptionally resilient character with incredible morals and a love for her friends and papa that can't be squelched. Frances Hodgson Burnett is a wonderful author and I look forward to reading more of her other works. Some of the chapters were a little long, but next thing I knew I'd arrive at the next chapter. I couldn't wait to find out what was going to happen next to the "Little Princess". When I was like 5, I developed a love to read. I would read EVERYTHING, even the nutrition facts and ingredients on cereal boxes! ( I still do! ) One day, my dad came and gave me this book, saying that it was for his little princess. All this time, A Little Princess was always my favorite. Why? I could relate to the protagonist. She was always so kind, never spoiled, never greedy. She was always my biggest idol. In everything I did, I tried to do it the way that the protagonist would do it. If I wanted to be mean, I would remind myself that the main character would stay nice. This book probably changed my life, for the better. Ideal for young but bright kids.
