The second book of this series is even better than the first!I find it so humbling that a soldier, wounded and hurting, would find a home in an Amish community. It makes perfect sense; what do soldiers want more than peace!I don’t know how true to life it would be for an Amish community to embrace a soldier, especially when trouble follows him, but it makes perfect sense to me that they would accept him for who he is… regardless of his past. All I know is… when I read Barbara’s books, whenever possible with older series, the moment I finish one, I pick up the next one in the series and keep on reading. I make sure I have all of a series before I begin, whenever possible.Of course, that’s not possible with new books, but I’ve gotten in the habit of going back and reading the previous title(s) just before reading the newest release. it makes the series so much more enjoyable to me.Don’t miss this series! You’ll love it! If you enjoy a good read with some insights into the Amish way of life, this is a good book for you! An ex-soldier looking to heal his damaged soul and a young Amish woman find themselves caught up in an attraction that is not approved of when his past comes back to haunt him.In order to set things straight, they risk all.Again, Barbara Cameron gives us a glimpse into the lives of the Amish, who, are so very much like other humans, both good and not-so-good, with very human flaws.
I enjoyed this one MUCH better than the first book in the trilogy. I am on to Book #3.
Book two in the series, yipee! Great sequel, I cannot wait to read book 3.
This is the #2 book in the series. I loved it
