I liked The Eye of Minds alot mainly because it has a unique plot. In most books you don't read about hackers, coding, and virtual worlds, thats why I think it is unique and interesting to read. The book is about a game that is so realistic that abusing the code and hacking it can result in deadly results, and one gamer is doing exactly that. The main character has been requested to stop the hacker due to him being experienced in coding and hacking too. Although it has a great story line and suspense, I get confused with the advanced technology that I don't know about. WowAfter being disappointed by "The Scorch Trials" and "The Death Cure" by James Dashner, I did not expect to enjoy this as much as I did. Even though The Maze Runner is Dashner's bestselling book, I thought "The Eye of Minds" was so much better. The world building is very good, but plot twists really made this book interesting and unique. It reminded me a lot of Sword Art Online, which was an alright anime but personally I enjoyed this novel more. I also loved the characters, except Bryson - for reasons I won't explain because of spoilers. I really liked Sarah and her bravery, and I'm also a fan of Female heroinsI gave this 4/5 stars because I couldn't put it down and enjoyed every aspect of it, but there were a lot of plot holes that I hope will be explained in the sequels. In conclusion, I would recommend this books to anyone who loves sci-fi, dystopian, and/or video games.
