This was a fun read. I really enjoyed the cast of characters for this series. Duffy Brown can write some hilarious characters. The mystery and story was interesting and kept me flipping the pages.  Its going to be interesting to see, what happens with Evie and Nate Sutter in the next book, their romance is already starting to heat up a bit. And there is still a lot to read about between, the story of Evie's mother and what will happen when Rudy's daughter shows up on Mackinac Island. Very much looking forward to reading the second book.  This book was a hoot to read! Can't say when the last time was that I have enjoyed one as much. Evie or Chicago as she is called gets into all kinds of scrapes from the get go. All of the characters are so much fun and such a zany varied lot. Book had me cracking up in a few spots. I cannot wait for the next one in the series to come out. I will say that the end seemed a little abrupt but otherwise a great read.Duffy Brown also writes the Consignment Shop series that I tried to read a while back. Maybe I'll give it another shot after this one.
Very cute. I think I have to visit this island now.
I loved this book, and can't wait for the next!
Fun, crazy characters. May look for more.
