A super fast read. I read it last night/early this morning while waiting for my husband to come to bed. I'm not even sure if it took me an hour to read. So, why 3 stars?I liked the characters, but within the time-frame of the book, they weren't given a lot of depth. It's a slice of life type of book where you really aren't given much back-story. Bonnie, who believes she is still in love with her ex-boyfriend, decides that she must help him by stopping his wedding. Chase's fiancé is all wrong for him. So, Bonnie goes to the wedding and attempts to stop him before the ceremony starts. Failing to do so, she ends up throwing a shoe at him to get his attention. The shoe throwing doesn't go so well as she knocks him out. However, she is unsuccessful in stopping the wedding. Her friend Jill tries to help her move on by setting her up on some dates. But her embarrassment at the wedding just won't end. She ends up in various embarrassing situations all over town. And who is there to witness them? None other than Paul, the best man from the wedding. Paul keeps helping Bonnie. I'm sure you see where this is going...Anyways, one of the things that I think could have been developed more is Paul. You never really find out a lot about him. Or a whole lot about their past. I think this could have been developed a little more.To summarize, it's a cute story, but don't expect a lot of depth. Well this book was just ok for me. It was very funny in some parts, I mean who doesn't love a girl is who trying to crash her exes wedding. The shoe thing was perfect but I never quite connected with Bonnie. It was really hard for me to even get a good picture of her. I think I would have enjoyed it more if I would have had a little more detail in the characters. I did really like Paul from the very beginning I really liked him. Chase was a butthead from beginning to end. I also think that some of the aspects in the book that was meant to kind of leave you in suspense just confused me. At one point in the book I went back a few pages just to make sure I hadn't missed something. Overall I think the book had a good idea behind it but kind of fell flat for me.
A freebie for my kindle. It was a quick and light read.
Fast, semi amusing little read. But highly predictable.
