I can't say I loved it. I didn't think it was possible for me to hate Michael Vick more than I did before I read this, but I can and I do. Any human who does this to another loving being, should be forced to endure what they inflicted. He should be chained to an axel. He should be thrown down the stairs for each missed pass. He should be held between two people who repeatedly slam him into the concrete until his spine breaks in four places. I would have thought that before I owned my pibble. Now that I have my own pibble, I just want to throttle him, which is a bit of an oxymoron, but whatever. The dogs are the winners. They were saved. They are teaching others. They told their story so that others know that pibbles aren't the killers people think they are. Hector (Wallace's roommate on earth and now over the rainbow bridge) proved they are good dogs. He was a therapy dog and spread joy and love to all he met. I can't say you should read it. I is hard. It is painful. It makes me want to do more to help. I'm glad I read it, I'm sorry the story exists, but I'm glad it was written by such a qualified author. While disturbing to read at times, and frustrating, learning the great outcomes of the dogs that were saved made it worthwhile. Highly recommend for anyone who loves dogs, as well as those who aren't dog lovers to at least gain some insight as to the great resilience of dogs and the people who work hard to make sure every dog has a chance at a happy life. I'm now going to go give my puppy extra snuggles.
Very informative of what happened to the Vick dog's. Sad, but many of them found great homes
Very easy to read despite the tough subject matter. I learned a lot!
Often heart-wrenching and interesting, but finally became boring.
