While this book had an interesting Irish setting with an interesting selkie mystery wrapped around it. I can see why Some reviewers compare it to Nora Robert's Irish Trilogy. Both books hold that same too perfect Irish setting with the lone American to fulfill so fore told Irish legend while I liked this book when I am in the mood for an Irish Romance I am more likely to pickup the Iris trilogy then this book. This was a fun, fast-paced, witty read. Moss does an excellent job telling a story, weaving in mythology and bringing your pulse up as you turn the pages. You don't want to put this book down. The characters are fun and well rounded, the story is beautifully written and connects with the mythology of the selkies in a wonderfully believable way. I despise Ian. I can't wait to read the next book in this series, The Selkie Enchantress.
A light read but enjoyable...did not realize when I got it that it is Book 1 of a
