After a mediocre experience with the first of this series, I decided to try #2' thinking the writing style would have improved. Unfortunately "Trace" was worse. From the beginning, the plot was implausible...made so by "Priss's" ridiculous back story and ability to saunter into a criminal operation like she does. Maybe it would have been more tolerable if it was shorter...needless sojourns made the story drag. This book has a range of reviews from 1* to 5*. Personally, I enjoyed it. Trace "Miller" Rivers is undercover to break up a human trafficking ring. In falls, literally, Priscilla Patterson, who wants to meet and kill her father who is head of the human trafficking ring. It's a romance, so you know how it is going to end. I enjoyed meeting the cast of characters from the previous book in the series and I just like Foster' writing style.

I wasn't as engaged with this one. I really didn't find the heroine likeable.
