After reading a few so-so romances by different authors lately, I finally found a new author I thoroughly enjoyed. I'm just hoping the other books in the series are so wonderfully sweet. That's exactly what this book is...sweet.As a huge fan of the warm-fuzzies, this one had a ton of them. To be honest, I haven't had as much time to read lately as I'd like. I was getting to the point of wondering if it was just my lack of time that was making my romance books less enjoyable or the actual writing of the last few books I picked up. This book proved to me that it was the books and not me. RaeAnne Thayne got me back into my guilty pleasure reading and I love it! Not only did I love this book, it also made me want to find out more about the other people in town. There were a few things that I felt were left a little unclear, but since it's the first in a series I will give the benefit of the doubt and assume these things will be fleshed out more in the future books. I really liked the setting - even though these "small town" stories are very popular, and pretty unrealistic too, I just liked the idea of this small community, with a book/coffeeshop and a bead shop apparently thriving. I also liked the main character and how good a person she was. I don't really care for "love has wronged me! I can never love again!" heroes, though, so the dude was a bit of a letdown and I wasn't really invested in the romance. I liked the idea of the Angel of Hope character. I might read the next one just to check it out.
